Dungy is a Bull that we purchased in the spring of 2021 from Lost River Livestock in Minnesota. He is a calving ease bull with added performance and a maternal upside that we are very excited about. His dam, CMR Sunshine 94D, is a donor female at Lost River livestock, and we are really looking forward to what this bull is going to add to our program and are excited to retain some females from him! He is deep bodied, soft made and has perfect set to his back legs with perfect foot structure. |
RWG Right Combination 5506
In the Fall of 2017,we were so excited to purchase a 50% walking right of this Elite herdsire! Right Combination was one of the softest made purebred bulls yet maintaining a clean made look. His Excellent Dam SLC Lora 164Y has produced multiple seed stock herd sires! Right Combination added growth and dramatically improved the phenotype of the many cows he left behind. Right Combination set all kinds of show records being the first 3-time National Champion Bull "Winning at all three major livestock shows" 2016 National Champion @ CWA, 2017National Champion @ NWSS, 2017 National Champion @ FFI. DRT Lonesome Dove A List 91G
A List is a bull that we selected as our new calving ease sire in 2020! He is a Davidson Macon son and saw limited use in his first year as he cleaned up behind our AI heifer program and bred a select few 2nd calvers. "Big Al" as we call him is moderate framed and compact but packs a ton of muscle mass in a very correct and functional package. His calves come easy and have tons of hair and get up and go with vigor! We selected Big Al for his calving ease ability and for his backing of strong maternal traits. We look forward to a much larger sample size of his calves hitting the ground this year! |

SLC Masterplan 135F
In the Spring of 2021 we were very excited to add this Elite Herdsire! We purchased 50% share on Masterplan and own him with Severtson Land and Cattle. Masterplan has a ton to offer the breed and the industry. He is easy calving, clean fronted and has the extra extension with a small skull shape. He adds a ton of hair and you will be quick to spot his curly haired sons! As well he adds length of spine and a broad top and a wide based bull. We just scratched the surface of the potential that he has to offer, and are so excited for his second calf crop that is hitting the ground right now! |
Females- Our Mamma Cows
The Backbone of the Gelbvieh Breed! The focus of our herd starts with the Mama cow. We do our best to raise and maintain the highest quality females that we can in our operation. You will quickly realize that correct structure, excellent udders, moderate cow size, good temperament and overall production are our measuring stick of who stays and who goes! We aim to replace 30-35 females every year while maintaining a herd of 150 Females to calve each year.
